I would love to be here today, enjoying a clear spring day.
Do you recognize it?
This is Mont St. Michel.
Have you visited? Have you done the walk across the sand when the tide is low? I think I'd like to try that someday.
I'm looking forward to see what you are dreaming of today.

Dreaming of France -- Autumn Skies

Autumn is my favorite time of year.
I know people say that autumn makes people ready to start something new -- a new school year or a return to the job. For me, I really long for France in Autumn. I've had two terrific vacations in France in the fall.
So here are a couple of photos of Autumn in France.
This one was taken in Normandy. I know the sky is clearer and bluer in the fall. That's definitely true here with the fading leaves in the foreground.

And here's a square in Aix en Provence with the sun and shadows making pictures on the buildings.
Shall I meet you at the cafe there and we'll have a glass of wine and enjoy the sunshine?

Saturday Snapshot -- Tire Frame
To participate in the Saturday Snapshot meme post a photo that you (or a friend or family member) have taken then leave a direct link to your post on Alyce's blog At Home With Books. Photos can be old or new, and be of any subject as long as they are clean and appropriate for all eyes to see. How much detail you give in the caption is entirely up to you. Please don’t post random photos that you find online.
I tried taking an artsy photo when I was at my Mom and Dad's house in Florida. Then just last week I saw one similar to this in an art gallery. I must have been on the right track, idea-wise anyway.
This is a tire swing at Mom and Dad's house. I think I would be afraid to swing on it because it's bound to have snakes or fire ants or something Florida hiding inside it.

If you haven't downloaded my novel, The Summer of France, it's free today on Amazon for Kindle. If you don't have a Kindle, you can download the free Kindle reader for your computer or smart phone or tablet. Here's the link for Amazon in the U.S., or Amazon in the UK. Thanks for spreading the word too.

Sunshine
Today is the coldest day yet this season with temperatures in the 20s, but don't tell the sun.
The sun is brilliant today.
How is it at your house today?

My daughter Grace who is staying in Paris for a few months took this picture of the sunset from the balcony of the apargment where she is staying.

Then a few days later, she took this shot from Sacre Coeur.

Unfortunately, while wandering alone in Montmartre, she was set upon by some men who were overzealous to sell her things or flirt with her and she had to elbow one to let go of her. But, that's her story to tell, if she decides to.
Enjoy the photos.

I'm not sure why, but I've been obsessed with the sky lately. Here's the sky as I came out of work the other evening.
And here's the sky as we drove home from Uncle Wil's funeral last Saturday.
Sorry for the gas station in the forefront, but the sky was ominous and amazing.
