This week, my second child officially finished his high school classes. To celebrate the last day for seniors, the parents and other students line up and the seniors process through them.
Here's Spencer and one of his good friends, Hayden feeling the freedom.
Then they walk to the football field and release blue and white balloons. I'm not sure if the balloons are supposed to be symbolic of their newfound freedom, but a number of parents said they got choked up. I didn't get to go, but my husband captured this photo.

Very exciting indeed. What are his plans for the fall?
He's off to college in St. Petersburg, Florida
Releasing the babies (& balloons) off into the great wide world of the unknown.
Poor kid, hope he is prepared! I wasn't!
My snapshot is here.
Only happy faces there!
What a neat tradition!
It's the season for that sort of thing -- best of luck to him!

That is so cool! Congrats to your son!
What a great senior ritual. Hope he enjoys college next year.
Here's my Snapshot
... and then they all holler, 'Woot! Woot!' What a great tradition!
I like the idea of balloons - what a nice way to mark the end of school. Good luck to him at college, he will have a wonderful time. Thanks for the follow, by the way.
Rituals are important to mark endings and beginnings. Congrats to your son!
