Dreaming of France -- The Mediterranean

Please join this weekly meme. Grab a copy of the photo above and link back to An Accidental Blog. Share with the rest of us your passion for France. Did you read a good book set in France? See a movie? Take a photo in France? Have an adventure? Eat a fabulous meal or even just a pastry? Or if you're in France now, go ahead and lord it over the rest of us. We can take it.

On a sweltering day like we had Saturday, and even the high humidity of Sunday morning, nothing could sound better than a dip in the cool, sparkling Mediterranean Sea.
Luckily, that's where Grace was this weekend, so I have a picture, even if I didn't get to dip my toes or other body parts in. She and Delana, who lives in Aix en Provence, went to Carry La Rouet.

Sigh. I don't know about you, but I'm really dreaming of France now.
Thanks for playing along with Dreaming of France. Please leave a comment and visit each other's blogs, too, so you can get your fix of France dreams.

I came back from Provence a week or so ago and it was very nice but not warm enough to swim as least for my taste :)
Have a great week ahead,

The water does look a little cold but young people are crazy; they don't care about that. Nothing deters them. I vaguely remember that feeling; these days I dip in my toes and if it's too cold I just say, maybe next time.
For my Dreaming of France contribution I'm linking to The Last Time I Saw Paris; an Elizabeth Taylor/Van Johnson 1950's flick based on F. Scott Fitzgerald's short story, Babylon Revisited. Bon Journee!

It's very cold here today. 5 degrees. That picture is gorgeous and making me long for summer.

So glad Grace is getting to have so many fun and varied adventures here in France!

I remember seeing the sea on our trip to Monaco , very inviting. We definitely have not had any weather that would tempt me into the sea , especially not the UK sea.

Thanks to everyone for leaving a comment and for playing along. I imagine the water is a bit warmer in the south of France than other places.

Such beautiful water! BTW, did you see the trailer for A Walk in the Woods? Two older men hike the Appalacian Trail based on book by Bill Brison. Maybe your book will be the next movie!

Many people visit Paris in August, but mostly they run into other tourists. This year, there seem to be fewer tourists throughout the city ...
