Dreaming of France -- The Atlantique

Here's a new weekly France meme. Please join in. Grab a copy of the photo above and link back to my blog. Share with the rest of us your passion for France. Did you read a good book set in France? See a movie? Take a photo in France? Have an adventure? Eat a fabulous meal or even just a pastry? Or if you're in France now, go ahead and lord it over the rest of us. We can take it
Maybe we can all satisfy our yearnings for France, until we get there again.
When we visited friends in Nantes, they took us to the Atlantic for a walk along the cliffs. The sky and sea were incredible. It definitely didn't seem like the same sea I swim in in Florida.

My husband, always pushing the boundaries and peering over the edge. Remember in France there aren't railings or warnings. They figure people are smart enough to not fall over a cliff.

Definitely a rugged coastline, I like your comment about no railings, and warnings. I figure the Atlantic is big enough to notice too!

BTW don't worry about timezone differences, I had an evening shift today, so wasn't around when you would be posting, so posted mine a bit earlier than I would have ordinarily. We're used to the timezone thing down here, not a biggie.

Nice pics. I'm curious about the temperature of the water. Warm enough to swim in without a wet suit?

Thanks to everyone for playing along.
Louise, Thanks for remembering before I did.
Virginia, Your photos are so great.
Dana, I'm kind of sad that you're going back to Australia when I just discovered your France blog. Although I'm sure Australia is fascinating too.
Sim, So glad you came to play too. No French must be spoken.
VVB32, Funny because no one ever suggests swimming, but we're always there in the spring. I think there a big beach community in July and August.
Anne, Thanks for playing. I know you love France as much as I do.

Many people visit Paris in August, but mostly they run into other tourists. This year, there seem to be fewer tourists throughout the city ...
