Saturday Snapshot -- Wrapped Up

To participate in the Saturday Snapshot meme post a photo that you (or a friend or family member) have taken then leave a direct link to your post on Alyce's blog At Home With Books. Photos can be old or new, and be of any subject as long as they are clean and appropriate for all eyes to see. How much detail you give in the caption is entirely up to you. Please don’t post random photos that you find online.
Our neighbors have a 16-year-old son, just like we do. One morning this week, as I was walking through the dark to start my run, I noticed the neighbors car looked funny. I thought maybe they had done some work to it then covered it to keep it safe. Until I got closer.

That's when I saw that the entire car was wrapped in plastic wrap. Whoever had wrapped it, had even left the empty rolls stuck to the car.

It made me laugh, because I figured the prank was all in good fun. When it got to be around 6 a.m., I texted the mom to warn her that her son might need a little extra time getting out of the driveway that morning since some friends had decorated his car. "Bring scissors," I warned.

I saw the neighbor at the football game last night. He said the scissors cut right through the plastic wrap and they had it cleaned up in minute. That makes it a bad prank, he explained, because it was so easy to clean up. Now those strands of toilet papers in trees, those drive him crazy.

Wow, I wonder how long it took them to wrap it up like that?

I don't mind practical jokes at all, but pointless, wasteful ones like this aren't fun to me. You did well to notice at that time of the morning (or night as I would see it...)

That could have been very annoying!

What next? This prank did make a wonderful photo op for you, though...lol

Thanks for sharing.

LOL....wonder if he'll find out who pranked him?

Ha! too funny. I think any prank that's easy to clean up is a good prank.

Hahaha! It's that time of year again! I love the harmless pranks. My kids once taped the fingerpress down on the kitchen sink spritzer and aimed it toward the poor unsuspecting person who would first turn the water on (to make coffee) in the morning ... it was a rude awakening ... and then, I laughed til I thought I'd wet my pants ...

A strange prank! Why wrap in a plastic cover? At least better than doing something harmful.

I'd never heard of anyone plastic-wrapping before. Puts a new twist on TP-ing. Actually, I think it's a great prank...whoever did it had fun and it didn't hurt anything or cause a major headache for cleanup.

Here's my Snapshot.

Ha! That's a first for me. I've never seen a plastic-wrapped car.

I would much prefer that to the TPing some of my son's friends did to our tree and roof. Although they also tp'ed a happy face on the lawn which was kind of sweet.

Never seen anything like that before - though I've heard of vehicles covered in knitting or crochet by guerrilla knitters...

I've done it again... forgot to say thank you for dropping by.

I'd rather have a 'bad prank' than a good one. They must have bought a few rolls to do the whole car.

That's hilarious.
And what a good prank to pull.
Because it's a) effective, without being b) damaging.
Excellent hijinks. Kudos to the perpetrators!

I've never seen that particular prank before, but I've heard of it being done. Nice that it wasn't too bad to clean up.

I haven't been pranked in years, but this seems like a harmless one.

that is unusual. My boys use to just go into their dads car and blast the radio and wind shield wipers.

Haha love it! Although I probably wouldn't be too happy if I was the one who had to cut my car free!

Fun! Actually, I like the pranks that are easily cleaned up -- otherwise they start to seem mean-spirited.

Someone wrapped our car in yarn on our honeymoon. They courteously left scissors tied to the door handle, though. I never knew for sure who did it.

Yes! Plastic wrap is so much easier to clean up. Awesome that you were able to get a shot!

I saw a show where they did this to a just-married couple's car to delay their departure! Poor kids didn't have scissors to help them out! :)

Cute pics!

For some reason the kids are really into the saran wrap. Happens a lot to my son and his friends but they get a bit more creative with extra slimy stuff inside the saran wrap!

I have never seen a plastic wrapped car before! I do see lots of TP hanging from trees though.

Haha, that is awesome! At least they did not do damage to the car and it made a great photo for you.
