I think this photo is a harbinger of spring.
A pink baby mitten hanging in a tree with the snow melting in the background.
The trees are all still bare, but the sun is offering hope.
I hope spring is coming where you are, unless, of course, you're in the southern hemisphere!

Very interesting photo. Did someone you know put the mitten there or was it put there randomly?
How symbolic! New season, new life...thanks for sharing.
Here's MY SATURDAY SNAPSHOT POST
Lovely photo. I wonder if the owner ever found their mitten. My children were always throwing there clothes away when they were little: socks, hats etc. and I once threw the house keys away when I was young, which caused great problems.
Sean, Just random. Probably someone found it on the sidewalk and hung it there hoping the owner would find it.
Laurel, I hope it's symbolic and prophetic.
Ginx Craft, Oh no, the house keys! That'd be awful.
What a great photo! It tells a story, doesn't it? So clever of you to see the message and capture it.
It was spring here in Chicago too. Well, it was for a day but I agree the sunshine and melting snow make me believe spring is finally on its way.
Great photo full of hope. We never really had winter here-very strange.
I love it. For the first time in months, I found myself taking stock of the landscape far and near. Probably because I no longer had to look down and watch my step. Looking for friendly faces ... my fellow trees. Seeing how they faired over the tough winter. Who made through and how well. Coming across walkers in the neighborhood I haven't seen since November, the two girls from the post office who run before work, the gentleman who likes to sit on his porch to have his coffee. Well, I'll know its spring for sure when his t.v. re-joins him, but there are definitely signs.
funny you posted the mitten. I have seen two pairs of lost baby mittens, some kind of epidemic?
