My 17-year-old son arrived in Paris on Easter morning as part of a school trip. I had to beg him to let me follow him on Instagram so I can live vicariously. He tortured me the entire day by not posting anything all Sunday, until finally, around 10 p.m. France time, he threw me a bone with this shot of ...

What a fabulous trip for him! I can't believe the trips kids get to take at school now. We got bus trips to Sydney or Canberra, that was it. I can see why you want to live vicariously. I can't imagine how busy Notre Dame would be at Easter.
Bonjours! What a great picture and what a lucky fella to be a young man in Paris!
Hope he has a wonderful time—and hope he falls madly in love with Paris, as my daughters did on their school trip to the City of Light!
I think Paris is wasted on the young but he'll get a taste and then return again one day for more!

I have always wanted to spend Easter in France; actually I just want to eat all the Easter chocolate they have. How fortunate for him.
Thanks everyone for the comments. I agree that travel like this is probably wasted on the young, but he did help pay for the trip.
Esme, We've been in France for Easter before. Our friends were very religious so they went to services on all the holy days and Easter morning, of course. They didn't do baskets for the kids, but hid little gifts for them to find after dinner. For dinner, we ate -- sacrilege -- rabbit with lobster as the starter. So many kinds of wine. Yummmm.
