Dreaming of France -- Montmartre

Please join this weekly meme. Grab a copy of the photo above and link back to An Accidental Blog. Share with the rest of us your passion for France. Did you read a good book set in France? See a movie? Take a photo in France? Have an adventure? Eat a fabulous meal or even just a pastry? Or if you're in France now, go ahead and lord it over the rest of us. We can take it.
Maybe we can all satisfy our yearnings for France, until we get there again.

For today, I'll share some photos from Montmartre that Grace took last fall when my blogging friend Linda Mathieu of Frenchless in France took Grace on a tour.

Here are some of the traditional artists.
I wonder if the couple on the left side are French or tourists?

I love the sunbeam shining down on this artist.

I'm anxious to see what you all have to share. I know that Esme from Chocolate and Croissants just got back from a trip to France.

Have you ever gone to the museum in Montmartre-they had an exhibit on The Chat Noir.

My daughter who travels with me to Paris often, bought a large painting on the streets of Montmartre about 10 years ago. I would steal it in a heartbeat, but she would probably miss it.

Esme, I haven't explored Montmartre as much as I'd like to so I haven't been to the museum or the Chat Noir exhibit, but I have been to the fabric stores there -- I should say fabric warehouses. Mind boggling.
Genie, Yes, I think your daughter might notice, just like mine will probably notice I'm filching her photos. If my money sent her to France, then they are technically my photos too, right!

I was just there last night having dinner at a friend's place. That was a fun afternoon with your daughter.

Hi Paulita, Sorry I have not done a Meme for the readers, I will be doing some .. How wonderful that Linda took Grace around, I have yet to meet Linda, we kept missing each other, when we tried to arrange it last year . I love Montmartre too.

Edgar, Going in a book definitely counts, but you should go in person too.
Anne, I can't believe you and Linda have never met. I picture you as practically neighbors.

I really must get back there. I"ve only photographed the artists once and it was a cold drizzly day and most were not there.

I'm in this week!

Lovely photos, I haven't been to Montmartre all that often, perhaps I'll return again next year.

It's a wonderful hustly hustly place ...I'd love to be sitting sipping a café crème and people watching in this quaint area of Paris.

Many people visit Paris in August, but mostly they run into other tourists. This year, there seem to be fewer tourists throughout the city ...
