Dreaming of France -- Bicycle Tours
Please join this weekly meme. Grab a copy of the photo above and link back to An Accidental Blog. Share with the rest of us your passion for France. Did you read a good book set in France? See a movie? Take a photo in France? Have an adventure? Eat a fabulous meal or even just a pastry? Or if you're in France now, go ahead and lord it over the rest of us. We can take it.
A recent sight for us in Paris were the bicycle tours.
I took some pictures as the bicycles filled with tourists whizzed down rue Mouffetarde, a fairly sedate street to ride down.
As we traveled through the city by bus, we saw a number of bicycle tours that looked to be in danger.
I'd love to try the individual bicycles for rent throughout Paris, but these tours seemed to take the riders into harm's way, mostly buses.
What do you think? Would you take a bike tour in Paris?
How about a Segway tour? We had some friends who tried that, but we never had.
No matter how you view Paris, it's always worth it.
Thanks for playing along with Dreaming of France. Please visit each other's blogs so we all can share our love for all things French.

I love the look of those bikes! Not a fan of those buses, though. Yikes. To tell you the truth living in Los Angeles, I’m always shocked to see people riding bikes here, and yet they do. Brave or foolish, I haven’t decided! A fair amount of low income workers use them, not for recreation, but for their primary transportation.
I have always thought I would do a bike tour but then I think , I might just walk. How could I take photos on route, or look around? I know lots of people that do, and they are fine. I also know someone who works in Paris for a Bike Tour company, so maybe next time :-)
Sim and Anne, Thanks so much for commenting on Dreaming of France.
Maybe we should take a break since so few people are playing along.
I was hoping that you'd taken a bike tour- I'd love to do one. I've done a walking tour which was fabulous. I'm not usually a taking the tour kind of person, but they have some great ones in Paris.
