Saturday Snapshot

To participate in the Saturday Snapshot meme post a photo that you (or a friend or family member) have taken then leave a direct link to your post on Alyce's blog At Home With Books. Photos can be old or new, and be of any subject as long as they are clean and appropriate for all eyes to see. How much detail you give in the caption is entirely up to you. Please don’t post random photos that you find online.
I'm not sure why, but I've been obsessed with the sky lately. Here's the sky as I came out of work the other evening.

And here's the sky as we drove home from Uncle Wil's funeral last Saturday.

Sorry for the gas station in the forefront, but the sky was ominous and amazing.

Beautiful! I have a thing for cloud pictures too. We get some amazing formations over the Great Lakes.

These sky captures are amazingly beautiful. I am always obsessed with the sky and often my neck does not go back far enough!

Love the photos! It is funny how just looking at the sky can put you in a certain mood.

Actually, the contrast between the gas station and that gorgeous sky feels like one of life's ironies.

Thanks for sharing.

That second photo is quite ominous. I, too, like the contrast between the road and the sky.

Funny - just yesterday, I was lying on our back deck just watching the clouds and listening to thunder as a storm was attempting to form.

I think the sky has been amazing to look at lately too, but as aguja mentioned, our necks aren't very accomodating.

Oh my goodness these are fantastic! When I lived in NC, I love the crazy weather most of all because you got to see crazy things like this.

You're not the only one, I also get fascinated by clouds. I guess it happens to a lot of us who are lucky enough to live a place where we see a lot of open sky. Great pictures.

Those are some impressive and colorful cloud formations.

I love skies and your photos are amazing. the lavendar color in the first photo is wonderful! And I love how the clouds look so solid and impenetrable in the second but you can see where the clouds end suddenly...amazing and weird!

Thank you for sharing these great photos!

Love that dark sky. It looks like a serious storm was on its way.

I wish I had my camera with me before when the sky decided to be expressive with colors for a particular day. Now, I don't leave home without it. :D Beautiful. Thanks for visiting me :D

Awesome clouds.

I said to my daughter that I often see dramatic clouds but there is not a clear view of them to take a photo (buildings etc in the way)

Excellent photos - it can be so hard to get a good sky shot, especially if you're driving.
