Something about this weather makes me long for France.
Is it just me, or do even the flowers cling on longer in France? Here's a picture from Mont St. Michel in late September and the petunias are still in glorious bloom. I love the way they look with these awnings.
I hope everyone else experiences something lovely that reminds them of why they love France.

Very alliterative, Jackie! Thanks for playing along.
The French have the loveliest flowers.
I absolutely adore this photo, I love the use of flower boxes.
Here's my Dreaming of France post: http://goo.gl/z8oHoa
I've got the trailer for the French film Gemma Bovery again - the reimagining of Madame Bovary - but this time it's got English subtitles for people like me!
Have a great week Paulita, glad to hear you liked This Is Where I Leave You as well:)
Yes, the flowers are still in Paris, and south of here, too. Come on over, once the Air France strike is over.
What a heavenly spot! A glorious place to be!
I'm posting my most recent wine tasting post about the wines of Bordeaux. All tasted here, alas. But some good choices if you are thinking France!
I love French windows & window boxes …I am always taking photos of them. Your photo is very pretty & I am sure that flowers are still just as lovely there now too… at least for sure in the southwest of France.
I too am enamoured of French window boxes and flowers. I've never been to Paris in the autumn, but am going again next month so very excited about seeing Paris in a different mood. I'll have to keep an eye out for the window boxes.
Love the look - have yet to see France in the Fall. Ahhh, someday...
Beautiful and lovely petunias!
