To participate in the Saturday Snapshot meme post a photo that you (or a friend or family member) have taken then leave a direct link to your post on Alyce's blog At Home With Books. Photos can be old or new, and be of any subject as long as they are clean and appropriate for all eyes to see. How much detail you give in the caption is entirely up to you. Please don’t post random photos that you find online.
My husband went hiking again and he sent me this great shot. Can't remember if he said it's an oak or an elm.

That is a great shot. The bones of the tree that can only be seen when all the leaves are gone.
Beautiful and stark! It looks like an oak.
Very dramatic! The sky is a great color and there is so much detail in the branches.
It's gorgeous, etched against the blue sky like a painting. Thanks for sharing.
Here's MY SATURDAY SNAPSHOT and here’s
MY WEBSITE
Great shot! Love the blue, blue sky behind it.
I love the look of bare trees even if I don't like winter.
That looks like an Oak. Elm branches tend to funnel upward.
That is gorgeous! I wouldn't have a clue what kind of tree it is. :)
Nice photo. I do appreciate the start beauty of leafless winter trees. I think it kinda looks like the elms in my neighbor's yard, so I will guess elm!
Good clear shot of the tree against a blue, blue sky.
Reminds me of an earlier poem of mine, published. Here's the first two lines:
maples wave skeleton arms, patterning a cold blue sky
exposing abandoned nests and fragile papery globes
I love pictures of trees in all stages of their lives!
Such a perfect shape it seems. Love it.
It a beautiful setting, great sky too.
Can a tree be proud and lovely?
I love that shade of blue in the sky.
It is a healthy oak, one of several on a reclaimed grassland in central Ohio.
