Saturday Snapshot -- Shoveling Snow

To participate in the Saturday Snapshot meme post a photo that you (or a friend or family member) have taken then leave a direct link to your post on Alyce's blog At Home With Books. Photos can be old or new, and be of any subject as long as they are clean and appropriate for all eyes to see. How much detail you give in the caption is entirely up to you. Please don’t post random photos that you find online.
We had a lot of snow after Christmas, and when I went out to shovel one day, my daughter ventured as far as the couch to take a photo of me.

This break was the perfect time for it to snow, since I didn't have to be anywhere. I could just enjoy the beauty of the snow, although, I'm still annoyed at the people who don't shovel their walks. It's treacherous to try to walk anywhere as the snow has been packed down to ice.
I look forward to seeing everyone else's Saturday Snapshots.

We haven't had more than a dusting of snow that was gone in 20 minutes. I do not look forward to a big snowfall. It's pretty to look at but that's about it.

This photo gives me a tiny glimpse into Life With Snow. It's a foreign country to me, here along the Texas Gulf Coast. Thank you.

Here’s my Saturday Snapshot. I hope you will stop by! And Happy New Year!

Ugh. Snow. I enjoy seeing it, just not being in it. Through some apparent miracle, this year's storms have all veered around the Chicago area leaving us snow-free and (for me anyway) happy.

I love this photo - it looks like the landscape behind you just melts into infinite white snow.

I'm impressed that you got out there and shoveled snow! We don't even own a snow shovel.

We've just had our first real bit of snow over Christmas, and have hardly had to shovel! But I agree, as a pedestrian I am annoyed by people who don't shovel their walks...it is so hard to walk on, and I always shovel mine!

That's such a great candid photo! Snow hardly ever has good timing like that - nice that you could enjoy it and relax.

Your wonderful photo reminds me of shoevelling snow
when we lived in Michigan.

I love snow specially the first snow. In the trees and the soft sound of falling snow.

Dressed for the weather and the task. I like your photo.

I walk too and feel the same about unshovelled walks.

That looks pretty deep. We've had no snow so far this winter - lots of rain though! My Snapshot is at http://goo.gl/dgFw0

brrr foreign country is right! Well, I can usually see the snow from here and it does get cold ...

thanks for stopping by!

I do love the snow and feel like it should fall every third day throughout the winter, so that it pretties things back up! Just a dusting, please! An easy sweep down the walkway ... and light dusty stuff! No packy wet slush!
If I were queen of the world ... alas.

Looks like you had fun shoveling!

Thanks for dropping by and visiting.
We are certainly enjoying hearing about the snow back home while we are sitting under sunny skies in Las Vegas.

I haven't forgotten about Dreaming of France for Monday! Have my post already to go LOL>

You must be on the East Coast. I was very envious of all the snow and cold there the past week. Love crunching around in fresh snow during the crisp, early morning hours.
