The "fancy" restaurant there actually has a moderately priced prix fixe lunch, as I recall, and it is a classically gorgeous Parisian setting. Check out the reviews on Trip Advisor and Yelp!. Going early or late is recommended to avoid long lines, and remember to slow down and not be in too much of a hurry to rush off to the next place.
Wish I could go there tomorrow!

P.S. And yes, I'm familiar with Bonnard and like his work very much. But picking a favorite? That's a tough one. I was looking at images yesterday for another reason and there were so many I loved. I am extremely fond of a Renoir of a girl holding her kitten but I don't remember the name!Jeaniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17482528482559445943noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32469880.post-83221306123430718002016-05-02T07:37:22.607-04:002016-05-02T07:37:22.607-04:00I am not the sort of person who goes to museums bu...I am not the sort of person who goes to museums but I like to have good interesting paintings on the wall and Bonnard's looks interesting, I like paintings that you see something new/different every time you look at it, I have a screen saver which is a picture of our street in 1900, its a bit grainy but I can look at it for ages and still find something differentour life in francehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10199969087758740830noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32469880.post-30509142136381723762016-05-02T05:25:42.839-04:002016-05-02T05:25:42.839-04:00Thanks, Sim, for playing along. Imagine, all those works of art wrapped up in their basement, and you without a Bonnard on your wall! I visited Musee D’Orsay back in the 80’s, and what I really remember is the architecture!
BUT it is home to so many amazing and important works of art. I’d probably say Renoir’s ‘Bal du Moulin de la Galette’ depicting the cafe society of Paris is my fave. Such an exciting painting and period! Sigh. We only have his 2 Girls Reading at LACMA which is very sweet and staid. We also have some sketches. Anyway I’ll try and connect with a new Dreaming of France post tomorrow!Sim Carterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07069681571808073102noreply@blogger.com
