Talking of the menopause, at 43 I guess I've a few years yet and although I know it's much more than no more periods, I can't wait to be rid of them!Jacqui Brownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14140901612471884897noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32469880.post-3000896062258877562014-11-21T19:21:51.202-05:002014-11-21T19:21:51.202-05:00Love the bit about going to the gym in your 50s. I see friends that don't do something and they can barely walk. I have Mal du Debarkment Syndrome so it is a chore to move but even more important to keep moving. If one form of exercise gets boring find another but keep moving!sillygirlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09971787430517830586noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32469880.post-62038617617774098542014-11-21T09:01:09.983-05:002014-11-21T09:01:09.983-05:00I say continue to do it, to continue to feel good....I say continue to do it, to continue to feel good. I am much older than you.(Almost old enough to be your mother). I don't walk or run for exercise, due to arthritis. I did swim several years ago, but fear of falling has kept me indoors this winter. Keep moving, you will be glad!!grammajudybhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00562284172505849145noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32469880.post-68110543438919013472014-11-21T06:28:50.747-05:002014-11-21T06:28:50.747-05:00I started a membership at an exercise club near us...I started a membership at an exercise club near us just this week. I know so many women who have finished menopause before they got anywhere near 50. Strange range of ages. As for delaying menopause though, that tends to be determined by genres ...a few years either way based on how old your mother was.

I was never religious about exercising and the change, for me, took place at 54, similar to my mom and her sisters.

(Diane) Bibliophile By the Seahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10519875632878992728noreply@blogger.com
