Saturday Snapshot -- Nature

To participate in the Saturday Snapshot meme post a photo that you (or a friend or family member) have taken then leave a direct link to your post on Alyce's blog At Home With Books. Photos can be old or new, and be of any subject as long as they are clean and appropriate for all eyes to see. How much detail you give in the caption is entirely up to you. Please don’t post random photos that you find online.

As the hectic holiday season is upon us, we all need something to steady us, help us remember the improtant things in life. So I've borrowed a picture from my husband's winter camping trip.

Doesn't this look peaceful?
What are you strategies for staying sane in the holiday season?

I had to "borrow" some memorable shots today, too.

Love that shot with water over rocks...it reminds me of fun camping trips when I was young.

Very serene. I would love to sit on that rock and just stare at the water.

Very peaceful. Nothing better than a river flowing past.

This is the cool shade and refreshing sound of water that one longs for in the heat of summer. It reminds me of childhood places and the smell of damp woodland.

Did you say winter and camping?! I hope he had a warm cabin to sleep in.

I always find the sound of water to be calming and peaceful.
